On 5th March, KNUTS.in powered an inspiring session in Kolkata for a renowned Indian conglomerate, featuring Voice of Value Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi. The session sparked a thought-provoking conversation on breaking stereotypes, overcoming challenges, and forging leadership paths, leaving the audience empowered with a renewed sense of strength and purpose.
A Kargil War veteran and the first woman officer posted in the high-altitude terrains of Kargil, VoV Yashika is a true embodiment of resilience and courage. Carrying both her unborn child and the weight of war, she proved that courage knows no gender. Shattering glass ceilings in male-dominated environments, she has redefined leadership in the toughest conditions.
After retiring from military service, Capt. Yashika Hatwal Tyagi served as Director of ECHS Polyclinic, a Ministry of Defence Project, where she successfully navigated challenges unique to insurgency-prone areas of Jorhat (Assam) and Srinagar (J&K). She later served as Principal of “Asha School” in Patna, Bihar, an institution dedicated to differently-abled children and their integration into mainstream society.
Currently, Capt. Tyagi on her YouTube Channel ‘Shaurya Tales,’ narrates stories of bravehearts from the Indian Armed Forces, recounts daring military operations, and shares insights on leadership evolution during crisis situations to inspire India’s youth.
She has established herself as a Motivational Speaker and Leadership Coach, delivering more than 200 talks for organizations including Infosys, DanFoss, Axis Bank Mutual Fund, Tata Strategic Management Group, Globant, Bain & Co., and CatFit. She also regularly conducts SSB boot camps for defence aspirants through her Social Media channels.
