On 19th September, KNUTS.in facilitated a TEDx Talk at New Town School, Kolkata, featuring Voice of Value Samaira Hullur.
VoV Samaira Hullur is one of India’s youngest commercial pilots, having earned her license at just 18. Born and raised in Vijayapura, Karnataka, she discovered her passion for aviation early on — drawn to both the thrill of flying and the discipline the profession demands. Determined to pursue her dream against the odds, Samaira completed her flying training in a record 7 months, cleared all DGCA ground subjects, RT, and ATPL written + oral exams on her first attempt, and trained extensively on aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and P68C.
In her TEDx talk, “No Pilot Flies Alone,” Samaira spoke about her journey to becoming one of India’s youngest commercial pilots. She shared how every flight she takes is not hers alone — it carries the guidance, encouragement, and belief of her family and mentors.
