On 12th March, KNUTS.in facilitated a special session for a leading global real estate and professional services firm as part of its Women’s Day celebrations, featuring VoV Shalini Saraswathi, who shared her remarkable personal journey of resilience, courage, and rebuilding in the face of life-altering challenges.
VoV Shalini Saraswathi is a national-level para-athlete, blade runner, marathoner, public speaker, and Chief of Strategy at Rise Bionics. In 2012, a rare bacterial infection changed the course of her life, leading to multiple organ failure and the eventual loss of all four limbs. What followed was an extraordinary journey of rebuilding. Today, Shalini is a National Gold and Silver medalist at the National Para Games, has represented India at the Asian Games, and holds the Asian record as the fastest woman on blades in her category — all while continuing her corporate career and advocating for greater inclusion of persons with disabilities.
During the session, Shalini shared her powerful story of navigating loss, rediscovering strength, and pushing past perceived limitations. Her reflections served as a powerful reminder of the resilience, courage, and determination that women embody every day — inspiring the audience to embrace challenges, believe in their own potential, and continue moving forward with strength and purpose.
