Dr. Shalini Lal is the co-founder of Unqbe (offers workshops around the “future of workâ€) and the founder of Infinity OD (organization development consulting). Her work focuses on helping organizations develop the leadership, design and culture they need to succeed in a fast-changing world.
She believes in combining research insights with the wisdom of practice in her work with
organizations. And believes that a sense of playfulness and humor is always a wonderful
thing. She is the author of “The Secret Life of Organizationsâ€, and often writes about people and
organizations for HT, Mint and Business World, among others.
She first got interested in Organization Development during her MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, when in agroup lab she discovered how in the hands of a skilled OD practitioner—people’s lives
could change. Later that year she didn’t take placement and instead worked as a
research assistant with a leading OD practitioner.
She continued in the Corporate world for many years. In fact her last Corporate Assignment was as Director HR at Deutsche Bank.
Why Shalini?
Shalini was the Chief Human Resource Officer at Escorts Agri-Machinery, and Head of Organizational Development at Airtel.
She now serves on the boards of Villgro Innovations and IIM Jammu.
She is a graduate of St. Stephens College, MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and a PhD from UCLA, with active connections to global academia through UCLA and the Wharton School. The foundation of working with individuals and helping them make important shifts in their lives, changed the way she was to view work and that influenced much of her later journey.
