Shireen Ali is a seasoned analytics leader with deep knowledge and experience in building data and analytics capabilities within the financial services sector across multiple functions. In her current role, she heads the ESG Data and Capability Services in India for HSBC, where she is responsible for scaling up data and analytics delivery capabilities in alignment with the group's ESG strategy.

In her previous roles, Shireen led and set up data and analytics engagements for Citi's Global Treasury and Trade Solutions, as well as its consumer banking businesses. She collaborated with product, platform, technology, and sales teams to ideate, deploy, and drive the adoption of analytics solutions. She began her career as a Risk Analyst with McKinsey, where she developed a consulting mindset early in her professional journey.

As an analytics leader with experience across GCCs and consulting firms, Shireen is passionate about building data and AI solutions and embedding them into business processes to drive tangible value. She excels at building high-performing teams, managing multi-country stakeholders, developing engagement models with senior country and regional management, and formulating and implementing analytical solutions. She has a strong interest in learning about the latest developments in data and AI, payments, and financial services, and she is an avid long-distance runner.
